Happy Easter - The Gift of Renewal: Faith, Family, and Fresh Starts

Spring is in the air, flowers are blooming, temperatures are rising, and while there's still a chance of showers, each day grows a little longer, a little brighter. It’s a season of transformation, and Easter reminds us that renewal is always within reach. It’s a time to celebrate fresh starts, lean into our faith, and cherish the family and community that support us through every season of life.

Easter’s timeless message is simple yet powerful: just as Jesus rose from the dead, after every winter, there comes a spring. After every challenge, there is growth. Fresh starts aren’t reserved for January, they are possible every day, fueled by faith, kindness, and the courage to begin again.

This past week’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Our Lady of the Visitacion School was a beautiful reflection of that spirit, the laughter of children, the warmth of familiar faces, the celebration of the risen Lord, and a shared sense of hope for what’s ahead. Moments like these remind us of the importance of our faith, our traditions, and the deeper meaning they carry across generations.

As we move forward into this season of renewal, may we all be inspired to embrace new beginnings with open hearts and grateful spirits.

BTW – In a tribute to my article a couple weeks back on Bullitt and his 1968 Ford Mustang GT. On April 17th in 1964, the Ford Mustang was introduced at the World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York, and was simultaneously launched in Ford showrooms across America, where nearly 22,000 Mustangs were quickly sold.

On a happy note, I am pleased to report that Baby Bella (Our Granddaughter) is now a week old and is doing well. Our beautiful little girl is still in NICU, but is getting stronger every day, she is starting to eat on her own. Karissa got out of the hospital on Wednesday and is doing well, she and Charlie are hoping to get Bella home in a week or so.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful Easter and a season filled with peace, hope, and fresh starts.
